Two conclusions about the Book Fair
1-The prices are expensive: The Bookseller of Ocean adds us to be VAT in the Argentine market there for books as they lack central offices or houses multinationals in Chile where they can edit and print the texts. Multinationals here edited and printed outside the country and, therefore, the books pay import taxes, including those of Chilean literature.
2-Readers, therefore, are few and with great purchasing power. Consider: a single book represents about 5 or 10 % Of salary. So the fair is small and there are so few people in the middle of Sunday (this is part of the model that some sectors claim to Argentina).
