rotary pumps or type distrbuidor have a single element to drive the fuel to the injector for each cylinder of the engine, this is called hydraulic head and turns driven by the crankshaft by gears, sprocket and chain or toothed belt equally as in the in-line pumps to turn the camshaft. This hydraulic head drives the fuel and distributes pressure in each circuit to each engine cylinder is in compression phase according to the order of injection on the engine.
